New Swimmers for 2026
Welcome to the Poquoson Barracuda Swim Team!
1. Start Here: 2026 Poquoson Barracudas Family Handbook
2. Download the Swimtopia App for your Phone
- From the website, Use the Registration Tab on this page
- You MUST do this at the beginning of each new season (Even if you are returning family from 2025) so your swimmer shows up in the App
- Complete the the online registration button (if you have already paid your fee to Parks & Rec, still submit and ignore the payment due portion)
- Log into the SwimTopia App and you should be able to see the schedule
- TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS. This is how we communicate everything throughtout the season - weather cancellations, delays, etc.
3. If you are new to any swim team experience you are required to attend a swim evaluation. New Swimmer Evaluations are completed for this season
4. Attend New Swimmers Orientation & Sign up for GPSA Training
- GPSA holds training session for different Swim Jobs - plan to sign up!
- This website is also a good resource for Swim Clinics, City Meet times, and locations of all of the pools we compete with
- We hold a special meeting to do a quick orientation on meets & how things work in the swim world. At least one parent should plan to attend
